Sustainability

aynen-responsibility

Since Aynen was just an idea, our mission has been to create high quality pieces in the most responsible and ethical way. Thus, we adopted sustainability as a principle on every step of our work, whom we partner and what materials we use.

All of the pieces are made from organic cotton, which is a natural, GMO-free fibre that uses less water than standard cotton. Our every day life is full of chemicals, hence its production does not involve the use of chemicals (no fertilisers or pesticides) and encourages rotation of crops to keep soil healthier, more fertile and maintain humidity. Waste from the cotton ginning process is also recycled for the animal feed industry.

While we respect your skin with soft materials; respecting the men and women who make your clothes with dignified working conditions; and respecting the world that we live in by limiting our impact on the environment.

The production of our pieces includes the following certificates:

Hence it's traceable from the farm to the end stage.

Furthermore, all our pieces are PETA-approved vegan. No animal testing is conducted or commissioned on ingredients, formulations or finished products.

Our supplier produces ethically all of our garments in Bangladesh, who builds supportive, long-term and collaborative relationships to improve their livelihoods.  They are also a recognised member of Fair Wear Foundation (FWF), which is an independent organisation that works with apparel brands, textile workers and industry leaders to improve working conditions in textile factories.

When our pieces arrive in Berlin after a careful and traceable process, we complete the stitching and printing process with our recognised partner here in Berlin.

We do not over-produce any of our clothing line and ensure that all of our pieces should be worn long time as a mission of slow fashion.

We are not perfect but we continuously try to improve ourselves. :)
